Your son is adament in his love for the conservatory and believes it is the best place for him to achieve his dreams. You have control over your son’s enrollment. 

The Canadian government has recently adopted a policy agenda refered to as Building Canada Strong.

The budget proposal for Build Canada Strong has two key components

The initiatives also includes policy which enables the fast-tracking of infrastructure projects deemed to be in the national interest by the cabinet. This fast tracking allows for bypassing traditional checks, such as some steps in Indigenous consultation and environmental assessements. For instance, to support the creation of a high-speed rail between Québec and Toronto.

Venture capital funds traditionally provide early start-up investment to firms deemed likely to succeed financially, in exchange for an ownership stake. The are often directly involved in the subsequent operations of the firms they invest in. 

Cultural exceptionalism is the belief that a particular culture possesses unique values, traditions, or historical experiences that set it apart from others in a way that should shape political or moral judgments. This often frames Western culture as morally deficient and a specific non-western culture as purer.

Examples include: Progressive curriculum reforms advocate that a purer Hawaiian epistemology (approach to knowledge) should lead environmental education because Western approaches to land-use ethics are contaminated by colonial extraction. Bolivia's 2009 constitution embeds Andean cultural philosophies of "living well" (Sumak Kawsay / Suma Qamaña) as national guiding principles because Western modernity is depicted as uniquely destructive, spiritually empty, and exploitative.

Anthropocentrism is the belief that humans are the central or most important entity in the universe, and that other entities like animals, plants, and the natural world are primarily valuable for their benefit to humans. In climate activism, anthropocentrism can look like advocating for protecting the earth for future generations, or for the benefits it gives to society. 

Ecocentrism is that all individual living creatures, as well as biomes and species, hold inherent value (i.e. independent of their benefit to humans). In climate activism, ecocentrism can look like advocating protecting for protecting nature from human expansion, or defending animal welfare.

A Texas-based program offered second-grade students $2 per book for up to 20 books per semester. To qualify for the $2, they had to score 80 percent on an online quiz about the book (which they could take only once). They could choose books from their school library or classroom, and there were quizzes available for about 80,000 books in total.
